Thank you to Pleasant Ridge resident Greg Longeway and his band White Line Fever for an amazing concert! The rains cleared and the people came! They got to hear fabulous music, enjoy the food provided by Red Balloon, do community art sponsored by ArtsWave, chat with neighbors, and make new friends. Liz Wolfe was in from New York City and created an impromptu ukulele and guitar singing and teaching session that had people joining in with beautiful voices and playing. Student volunteers were out helping with the Cup by Cup Café, the Leaf by Leaf booth, the Community Felting project, and the art table. Some well-behaved dog visitors and a gift of hula-hoops brought even more fun to the event. Everyone’s generosity, especially the band for donating their time, warmed and brightened the day.
