This program for teens focuses on art, fosters community and civic engagement, and provides a space for students in the Pleasant Ridge and greater Cincinnati area at CHH (Community Happens Here).
A space for students to voice their opinions.
A space to develop the change in their community that they want to see.
Learn how to be an active member of society with civic engagement projects through art.
Learn and explore artistic media such as painting, illustration, creative writing/poetry, sculpture, and mixed-media work.
A space for students to explore their interests outside of school!
A third space for students to have after school.

*CHH will provide free dinners and, once a month, have college and career readiness meetings.
The program will run from August 31st, 2026 to December 10th, 2026. With active participation, the program will reopen January 11th, 2027 to May 17th, 2027.
To Participate:
Ages: 13 - 18 (exceptions may be made for 11 and 12 year olds after a non-formal interview )
Students must be enrolled in a CPS, Cincinnati Private school, or homeschooling in the greater Cincinnati area.
All students are welcome and supported!
Schedule:
Monday - Thursday
4:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Homework/dinner: 4 pm - 5 pm
Art/Activity: 5 pm - 7 pm
Cleanup: 7 pm - 7:30 pm
*Students are only required to be present from 5 pm to 7 pm, as long as students clean up after themselves before 7:30 pm. Additionally, students are not required to attend every day, and participation in the program can be used as volunteer hours.
The program is led by Georgia Mattingly, a BFA and Art Ed. student at DAAP (College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning).
